Dental Content & Editorial Policy

How we identify authors, use sources, qualify health claims, publish updates, and correct our website content.

Last updated: 22 August 2026

Purpose and scope

Louis Dental Surgery publishes service information and oral-health articles to help patients understand common questions and prepare for a conversation with a dentist. The content is educational. It does not diagnose an individual, establish a dentist-patient relationship online, or replace an examination.

Authorship and credentials

Blog articles identify their published author. Service pages identify Louis Dental Surgery as the information source because they describe the clinic's services rather than an individual treatment recommendation. We publish clinician qualifications, roles, and review labels only when they are documented. Current team details are available on our dental team page.

How we use evidence

We favour current guidance and patient information from recognised public-health bodies, professional guidance organisations, and primary or official sources. Articles list the main sources used so readers can inspect them directly. Sources currently used include:

External guidance supports general information but does not determine what is suitable for a particular patient in Malaysia.

Medical-claim standards

We avoid guarantees, universal timelines, and claims that one treatment is suitable for everyone. Where outcomes vary, the content says so. Treatment pages explain that diagnosis, benefits, limitations, risks, alternatives, fees, and likely visits depend on clinical findings. We distinguish general education from urgent-care advice.

Updates and corrections

Articles display a publication date and a separate last-updated date. Pages are reviewed when the clinic changes a service, a relevant source changes, or an error is reported. A changed date is used only when the page's substantive content has been revised.

If you find an error, outdated link, unclear statement, or unsupported claim, email louisdentalsurgery0121@gmail.com with the page address and a description. We will assess the issue and correct material errors.

Commercial independence

The current website does not carry third-party display advertising or paid health articles. References to a clinic service are included to help a reader continue to relevant information or request an assessment. They do not guarantee that the service will be recommended.

Medical and emergency disclaimer

Symptoms can have more than one cause, and online information cannot assess severity. Contact a dentist for new or persistent dental symptoms. If swelling affects breathing or swallowing, there is uncontrolled bleeding, or you believe the situation is life-threatening, seek emergency medical care immediately rather than waiting for an online response.
